Coming Soon!!!

A big thank you to all those who purchased E. Bloeser, my first reproduction sampler!!!!  All of you that have been patiently waiting and asking ever so gently when the next one would be ready so..........here is a tease from the new soon to be released reproduction sampler from the Traveling Stitcher.  It has been a while I know!  She is due out in a month or so, just waiting for her to get back from the framer and the printer. 

I know you will enjoy her :)

Did you see it?!

With their very own Attic conversion, E. Bloeser is standing proud as one of their new shop models!!  Looks absolutely gorgeous!  Love that stitchers are changing the stitch counts, choosing their very own colors.  Isnt it wonderful we have so many options?!

Another Update

Traveling Stitcher was mentioned on page 6 of the Attic Needlework's latest newsletter!!!! I am over the moon with the kind words said about E. Bloeser (you can see it here) and super excited with the response so far.  I am thrilled to share another stitchers' progress on Elisa.

Lynn is using 40ct Green Slate Lakeside with a great conversion from the reproduction.  Can you even!?  I love the idea of stepping out of the box and using another color.  YGG!!! Looking forward to seeing the finish :)  I appreciate you sharing with us!

It is so much fun to be creative with our projects.  I look forward to the next update!

First up

I am so excited to show you the first of many progress pics of E. Bloeser.  Laurie has shared her start of Elisa on 45ct Vintage Bluegrass Lakeside linen using the called for NPI silks.

Isnt it gorgeous!!  Laurie is making terrific progress and I cant wait to see more.  Thank you for sharing her with us!!!!!

A little more about Ms. Bloeser

I wanted to share some additional info I had on E. Bloeser.   In fact, her name is Elisa, and and she was about 10 years old when she stitched her sampler.  She later married and had 2 sons.  They married and each had 4 children.  This family photo was taken in Montevideo, South America in 1923.  I think finding more about her is most exciting and I look forward to finding out more about her as time goes on.  Isnt it fabulous to see what she looks like?  It is wonderful to see this photo, and know who they are.  So many of these pictures exist, without any stories to tell.  I wonder what she would think about us 157 years later stitching her sampler?!  Simply incredible :)

E. Bloeser 1854

Introducing my new pattern of E. Bloeser 1854 to all of you this fine morning!  I am very excited with the results.  Model stitched on 36ct Lakeside Linen Vintage Examplar with NPI threads, 1 over 2.  She is a nice easy stitch, using all full-cross and the approximate finished size is 11 x 9.  Recommended for any stitcher!

Here is the original E. Bloeser 1854.  Colors were chosen from the threads on the reverse side, so today, she is shining again with her true colors :)  I enjoyed charting her, stitching her and finishing her.  My first go around with a reproduction and I am eager to start another one!!

New for you.....

Here it is June 1st already, and I have a few pics to share with all of you, on the progress of my new reproduction pattern...... E. Bloeser.  I purchased the original about 2 years ago, and thought she would be great for my first pattern release. 

She is made up of 11 beautiful colors.  I have charted this sampler, for both DMC and NPI.  I chose Lakeside Linens 36ct to match the size and stitched her with Needlepoint Silks, 1 over 2. 

  

Below, is the new E. Bloeser I have been stitching.   Choosing the same colors she did, and recreating her sampler was so much fun.  To think about her in 1854.  WOW!  She stitched her sampler on a table runner, so the top and bottom edges are finished in a rolled hem.

Tomorrow, I will show you the final piece.  She is all done.  Patterns are rolling out as we speak!!!!  I am super excited to share E. Bloeser with all of you :)
